Purpose: Promote an awareness, appreciation
and development of talent in various forms of visual fine
art in Green Valley.
Membership: Ranges from interested beginners
to nationally recognized professional artists. Approximately
225 members. GVR membership required
Meetings: Second Thursday of each month
at 1:30 p.m. October through May at the East Center Auditorium;
June through September at the Art Studio at Santa Rita
Springs
Activities:
There is an in-depth demonstration by an artist at each general
meeting. In addition, there is a monthly plein air group, an
abstract group, weekly open studios, art classes as scheduled,
a library of videos and books, and more.
