Governance

GVR is a 501(c)(4) non-profit, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of twelve GVR members. Beginning in 2025, three Directors will be elected to the Board to reduce the number of Directors to nine over three years per the bylaw that passed in 2024 (Article IV, Section 1). The Board is supported by various committees charged with collecting information and issuing policy recommendations to the Board. Committees are chaired by Directors who form the committees from among members who apply to serve.

Board meetings are open to the membership in person and via Zoom. The Regular Board meetings typically occur monthly on the fourth Wednesday at 2pm, at West Center. Member comments are solicited and appreciated.
